Main Stage Theater

Our Main Stage Theater is a black box theater, a simple, awe-inspiring performance space with black walls, a flat floor, and a pipe grid on the ceiling for suspending lighting instruments and other technical elements. It seats up to 250 using platforms that can be changed depending on the arrangement needed. A fee will be added for any different arrangements of the space and the need for lighting/sound technicians or designers. The space is 92′ long by 38′ wide with lighting and sound and is currently set up to a proscenium stage with 226 seats. Rental of this space includes the use of the lobby and performer green room.

Recommended for dance companies, theater companies, wedding receptions, music events, film showings, or other larger events. 

$300 per hour

Newberry Loft

Our second-floor loft is an even more intimate space, with a sky-lit brick wall and a sprung marley dance and performance floor. This space can be divided into three separate rooms or opened to an exciting performance space for smaller musical and dance productions for seated audiences of about 100.

There is enough standing room to support up to 200 individuals with no seating or risers. Full sound, but limited lighting options. The space is 92′ long by 30′ wide and is currently set to seat 100 individuals. A fee will be added for any different arrangements of the space. The loft also comes with access to our kitchen which includes an oven, refrigerator, and sink. Perfect for catering your event.

Rental of this space includes the use of the performer green room.

Lobby

Our main lobby contains beautifully tall walls, wood floors, access to a flexible bar setup with refrigerators, and a customizable floor plan. The lobby can hold standing performance events for up to 60 and/or smaller seated events for up to 40.

Recommended for speakeasies, speaking events, music events, or other small to medium size events.

Private Rehearsal Studios

Steel River Playhouse has three artist studios available for rent. These rooms can house rehearsals, classes, and more. Availability of piano potential upon inquiry.
